Kara Vaval is the President and founder of Vaval Law, formerly the Vaval Injury Law Group. Kara practices mainly in the areas of Personal Injury and Family Law .

EDUCATION & COURT ADMISSIONS
Kara received her B.A. in Political Science and Business Management from Adelphi University, Garden City, New York where she graduated Cum Laude in 2004. Kara spent her last semester in college interning on Capitol Hill, in Washington D.C., with Congressmen Engel of the 16th District of New York. Kara received her Juris Doctor from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2008 and was admitted to the Florida bar in September, 2008.
LEADERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP & HONORS
While in law school, Kara participated in the Shepard Broad Law Center Pro Bono Honors Program and interned at the Legal Aid Services of Broward County where she worked as an immigration law clerk, preparing Violence Against Women Application (VAWA), T and U visas applications for the underprivileged. Kara also worked as a Bankruptcy Law Clerk at Berger Singerman in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she conducted extensive legal research on complex business reorganization cases.
Prior to establishing her law firm, Kara worked as an Associate at the Law Offices of Allan M. Lerner, P.A. where she practiced general commercial litigation, securities litigation and corporate law.
Kara formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (HACCOF) and the board of the Haitian Lawyers Association and is the recipient of the Beacon of Hope and Achievement Award awarded to her in 2016 by the Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Miami. She was also recognized as an Honorary YOPRO Top 20 Under 40 by the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
Kara is fluent in French, Creole and Spanish.
